over the weekend...

Hello rainbow of sherbets and blue!
We unintentionally coordinated pretty well while in Santa Clara over the weekend for Father's Day.
Isn't color lovely?
I love bright summer colors.

Wymountland

I call our little neighborhood "Wymountland." I figure I should since magical places, like Disneyland, are given such titles. We have almost been here for a year, and we thought our stay would be short, but I don't think it's going to be anymore...we may be here until Ryan finishes! Wymount has turned out to be a perfect fit for us in all ways - the people, the place - we've love being tucked beneath the "Y" during this season of life.

The "Grassy Knoll" - one of our favorite places to go in the whole complex. My parents lived in the building right in the middle with Annie and Elise. They often talk about how hot their upstairs apartment was when they brought Elise home from the hospital in late June...bless their hearts!
One of our typical smorgasbord-style dinners on the Grassy Knoll. I have loved having my family close for these get-togethers, each of us brining whatever we have to eat. Little Taive is always our head of the table.

Sha, Ryan, and Corey - funny funny funny boys :)
Elise, me, and Talli. We're glad the A-Team is so close, and we cannot wait for Kimbee to join us up here pretty soon. We miss Elder Nick, too, but we'll hold out for another 1.5 years.

Wymount's location is so beautiful. I love walking around the complex and the temple while Ryan is in meetings on Sunday mornings. Being tucked up against the mountain and next to the temple is a combination of two of my favorite places. I'm excited to share our little home with Olivia! I am pretty sure our little girl will love this land as much as we do.

the golf date

Ryan and I skipped away to Cascade Golf Course last Thursday just because the weather was perfect and, well, we can still do such spontaneous things. Actually...I had to convince Ryan to go after he initially proposed the idea. The thought of having a $30ish date made him a bit squeamish (for which I am truly grateful - he keeps our pocket books slim and trim).  Lucky for us, it was only $20ish. Three cheers! We're all about the young-and-in-love-with-little-excess-funds around here, and man, we are happy.

We're doing our best to take advantage of the "us" time that we have before little Olivia joins our party in person. The business writing class we're taking together this term sure helps (we're forced to study together), and nature's perfect weather has drawn us outside for stints of rollerblading and bike riding.

But for now, hats off to golf! Ryan did all the work, and he did so well. I usually golf with him, but Baby and I just wanted to watch him at work this time. So I drove the cart and got some practice with our new camera by taking a billion pictures of Ryan and Timpanogos: two of my most favorite sights in all the world.

that ball was hit 300 yards! golfing is one of Ryan's very favorite things to do, so naturally I love it, as well.

 woo! that's my man...so lucky.

...the little dad, the little mom, and the little Olivia babe. we are just kind of happy all together.
